I know that, I can use the Console object to input strings and then print them out with the System.out.print() function. But I want to know if it's possible to input keys on the keyboard via Console. For example, when a user types myName on the console, I want the program to print out your name. Is there any way of doing that? A: You can use System.in, just like Console: System.out.println("Your name: " + (char)System.in.read()); To make sure the input is a single character just check the length of the input. It would be better to consider an alternative approach. But if you still want to use the Console, you can add a newline to the input and then the first character is used for the name. System.out.println("Your name: " + (char)System.in.read()); This will print Your name: Then the input can be read with int inputChar = (int)System.in.read(); which returns the character code for the input char. If you want a more sophisticated solution, see Scanner How to leave the world a better place when you're feeling a little bit down in the dumps. Wipe the tears. It's the only way. 1. Put on your best smile and head to your local watering hole. Yes, you're going to drink. Drinking on your own is when you can start to appreciate things you probably would've never appreciated if you were sober, including yourself, your friends, your fellow drinkers, and your loved ones. You might begin to see the good in everyone and it might just take a few drinks to realize it. 2. Come up with something to do that you've been putting off, but will be completely worth it after a few drinks. 3. Tell the bartender the first person you see in the bar that you hate when they say, "So, where are you from?" Have a funny reply prepared ac619d1d87
